“To mark the 50th anniversary of Expo 67 and the 15th summer of the Piknics, Piknic Électronik is partnering with GSM Project on an immersive experience inspired by Man and His World.”

Not content to simply move its activities to the Plaine des jeux, Piknic Électronik also intends to set up a whole series of activity modules right in the protected woodland of Parc Hélène-de-Champlain, which they are renaming the “Forêt Todd.”

Is this sort of installation compatible with the role of the Île Sainte-Hélène woodland? Is there really no other spot on the island where they could set up the play modules? How many walking trails will have to be created or widened, and how much woodland cleared, to make room for them?

Will these facilities remain in the Île Sainte-Hélène woodland permanently, thus altering the function of the site?
