This church is on the Rosemont−La Petite-Patrie Borough out-of-area list of exceptional-value heritage and architectural buildings. It is currently unused, but its repurposing potential is attractive for its district, and many residents are interested in it. Moreover, the land next to the church, accessible via Rue Fabre and the rear alleyway, is an emergent public space, with a skating rink maintained by local residents.

An application to demolish the building has nevertheless been submitted by a developer who plans to build a three-storey building with some 20 residential units. This project jeopardizes the site’s potential as a community and public venue.

A public consultation meeting is scheduled for January 31, at 7 p.m., at 5650 Rue D’Iberville, 2nd floor.
