This residence was built by Napoléon Bourassa, son-in-law of Louis-Joseph Papineau and father of Henri Bourassa. Above the front door, an ornate work by the noted sculptor Louis-Philippe Hébert incorporates a bust of Papineau. Although this building has been home to some of the most important figures in Montreal’s modern history, today is an anonymous rental property that is not highlighted in any way.
