It is highly likely that a condo project will proceed on the site of one of the most beautiful buildings along the southern stretch of Boulevard Pie-IX. This home has always been very well maintained by its owners, so it has been preserved for more than 90 years. Its architectural style is really quite distinctive, and with its huge lot, the property constitutes a rich heritage for the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district that must be protected.

This home was awarded the Grand Prize for the Borough of Mercier/Hochelaga-Maisonneuve in the 1999 Montreal Architectural Heritage Campaign. The campaign “seeks to raise Montrealers’ awareness of the importance of protecting built heritage, and to reward work by homeowners to maintain their heritage properties.”
