The lighthouse on Île Sainte-Hélène is a silent witness to Montreal’s evolution since the early 20th century.

It was decommissioned around 1959, I believe, when the Seaway opened. Since then, all of the equipment has been removed, but the tower remains fairly intact. In its abandoned state, however, it is slowly deteriorating.

I propose that it be restored, and that a lighting-design dialogue be created between it and the Clock Tower in the Old Port.
