This roofing company has been a fixture in the neighbourhood for some 110 years. Its shop window and office spaces retain their original character. The building was apparently sold recently without being openly put up for sale (no posting). It is to be demolished in whole or in part to make way for luxury condos. Sounds will disappear forever—the sounds of the roofers loading their truck in my alleyway every morning, and returning exhausted at the end of their work day.
