This school was built in 1920. It is currently abandoned and the windows are boarded up. The surrounding land is not well maintained.

I think this is a shame, especially given the fact that the neighbouring École Saint-Bernardin (on 8th Avenue) is over capacity, with students in prefab classrooms away from the main building, while the school board continues to neglect the former Académie Bélair.
