With its curved lines, this building—located at the corner of Pie-IX Boulevard and Pierre-de-Coubertin Avenue—is representative of the structures that define this major thoroughfare.

It was damaged by a fire in 2018 and has remained vacant and boarded up ever since.

In April 2023, the site became the focus of a redevelopment project. The new owner began by removing and storing significant architectural elements. The building was then demolished, as the structure had been too badly damaged by the 2018 fire. In the months that followed, reconstruction began, with the aim of replicating the form of the original building. The preserved architectural elements will be reintegrated into the new structure. The completed project will include 22 housing units, divided between the main building and a new rear extension.

The construction was completed in 2025. The facades facing the public street were faithfully restored, and an additional floor and rear extension were added to the building.
