This former fire station was built between 1914 and 1916 and served as a firehouse until 1962. Since then, the century-old building has been occupied successively by a branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, a municipal library, and commercial tenants.

It was sold through a fast-track process by the City of Montreal. The City launched a public call for tenders on March 29, 2016, and four bids were submitted. The highest bid, in the amount of $553,000, was accepted. The new owner acquired the property for residential purposes. There do not appear to have been any notable developments regarding the project between 2018 and 2021.

In 2021, the fire station was converted into luxury housing. While the interior was completely transformed, the building’s exterior architectural features were preserved.
