It has stood vacant since all borough offices were moved to the Chabanel district in 2007, and a buyer is currently being sought. In addition, after the move, the city cancelled a contract to repair the roof. As a result, there has been significant water infiltration in the intervening years, resulting in serious degradation, and the city has even had to conduct decontamination operations lasting several weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The building is a very good example of early 20th-century fire stations that combined the dual functions of a firehouse and a police station. The City acknowledges the high architectural quality of the structure. In 2017, the fire station was sold to a developer. As a condition of the sale, full preservation of the fa\u00e7ade on Bois-de-Boulogne was required. However, the building remained abandoned for years. Citizens feared that the owner would allow it to deteriorate to the point where a demolition request could be submitted.<\/p>\n<p>The project was finally realized in 2024 with the conversion of the fire station into residential units. The building\u2019s exterior architectural and heritage features were preserved.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"mb-4 mb-md-0 offset-sm-1 col-sm-10 offset-md-1
