Built on the dike constructed by Simon-Sicard in 1726 between the islands of Montreal and Visitation, the Moulins site has had a wide range of successive uses: the crafts of ingenious artisans under the French regime, the first entrepreneurs of the mid-19th century, and the industrial activities of companies at the turn of the 20th century. The investments made in 1998 made it possible to offer visitors a high-quality interpretation of the site&#8217;s tangible and intangible remains over time and free access to the ground floor and upper floor, as well as a lookout point over the Rivi\u00e8re des Prairies. Unfortunately, the Moulins site has since suffered from a severe lack of maintenance. Subject to deterioration due to weather, nature, and graffiti, its infrastructure is now in such poor condition that access has been largely restricted in order to ensure public safety. When it comes to heritage preservation and enhancement, the contrast between the neglect of the Moulins site and the investments made in 2019 to restore the miller&#8217;s house at the end of the dike is striking! As we prepare to celebrate the bicentennial of the Lachine Canal in 2025 and the 150th anniversary of Mount Royal Park in 2026 at great expense, what are the vision and intentions of future municipal officials to do justice to these important heritage sites at Sault-au-R\u00e9collet, which will be celebrated in a few months&#8217; time and which are now exposed to the critical and disillusioned of the Historic Village of Sault-au-R\u00e9collet, and other signatories to highlight the worrying state of the Sault-au-R\u00e9collet Mills and invite municipal candidates to clarify their vision for
